Now Hiring - Director of Fastpitch/Player Development

Overview:
The Director of Fastpitch/Player Development will be involved in various tasks that will assist Fargo Area
Sports in organizing and preparing a good product to ensure kids have a fun and enjoyable experience in our program. The Fastpitch/Player Development Director will provide customer service, assistant in league operations such as scheduling, team assignments, uniform order and other duties assigned by the President/CEO.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties include, but may not be limited to:
• Report directly to the President/CEO
• Manage employees/volunteers.
• Contribute to managing, overseeing and following up on activities of the fastpitch program
including: season planning, program development, facility planning and utilization, team
registration, scheduling of games/tournaments/clinics, coaches’ training needs and day to day
client communications and requests.
• Executing outreach initiatives to support the promotion of the fastpitch program.
• Effectively communicate with parents, athletes, organization leaders, and partnered
organizations.
• Demonstrate integrity and character in understanding and abiding by the values of the
organization.
• Oversee all operations to the Dakota Selects Travel program.
• Hiring and management of coaches and team managers.
• Other tasks and projects assigned by the Fargo Area Sports Board of Directors, Fastpitch
committee, and President/CEO.

Qualifications:
• Experience and knowledge of fastpitch is required.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Knowledge in the sport of fastpitch and commitment to working with youth and families
• Ability to be prepared and organized for each program day.
• Fun and energetic personality.
• Uphold core value of putting kids first.
• Pass a background check.

Additional Information:
• This position will be located in our Fargo Area Sports offices.
• The Director of Fastpitch will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 – 5:00 including some
nights and weekends.
• Time off will be communicated by the President/CEO.
• Salary range of $45,000 - $50,000. Salary determined by experience.

Fargo Area Sports is a community-based organization that brings the diamond sport of baseball to
families in our town. The organization operates as a 501c(3) non-profit, operated by volunteers from the
community in which we live. The organization offers opportunities for children to learn our great
pastime and provides enhanced playing opportunities for more advanced players.
