Fargo Youth Baseball 2025 Season Registration
Please review all information below before registering your child.

Summer baseball registration is still open, but spots are filling fast! Sign up now before rosters are full.

Registration Details
  • Open Date: November 15, 2024
  • Early Bird Discount: $10 off if registered by December 31, 2024
  • RRVL Standard League Deadline: March 1, 2025 at 11:59 PM CT (all players except Travel/Little League tryouts) - Summer baseball registration is still open for select age groups. Some divisions are now in the waitlist period.
  • Late Registrations: Accepted after March 1, but may be waitlisted.
  • Fargo 61's Travel/Little League Deadline: January 31, 2025
Team & League Selection
  • Choose "Travel" for 9-15U Travel tryouts, "Little League" for 12-13U All-Star tryouts, or both if interested in both teams.
  • RRVL participants may request specific skill divisions (Intermediate or Advanced), coaches, or teammates; requests are not guaranteed and based on availability.
Late Registrations
  • $25 late fee applies to all registrations after March 14th.
  • Payment plans available (50% upfront, balance auto-drafted on March 1).
  • For registrations after March 1, there will be a payment plan available (50% upfront, balance auto drafted on April 1).
Refund Policy
  • No refunds after teams are formed.
Age Eligibility
  • RRVL League: Players may choose between Cal Ripken & Little League age charts.
  • Travel Teams: Must register by Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth age.
  • Little League All-Stars (12-13U): Must register by Little League age.

Season Schedule
No Friday games for any RRVL division (except Travel or optional tournaments).
Approximately 18-20 game schedule.
Game Nights:
  • 5U & 6U: Tuesday & Thursday
  • 7U: Monday & Wednesday
  • 8U: Tuesday & Thursday
  • 9U & 10U: Monday & Wednesday
  • 11U & 12U: Tuesday & Thursday
  • 13U: Monday and/or Wednesday
  • 14/15U: Monday through Thursday (pending field availability)
Tentative Season Start Dates:
Some age groups may finish earlier depending on the schedule format.
  • May 12 - July 30: 7U, 9U, 10U
  • May 13 - July 31: 8U, 11U, 12U
  • May 19 - July 30: 13U
  • May 20 - July 31: 5/6U & 14/15U
Volunteer Coaches & Team Managers
Fargo Youth Baseball heavily relies on volunteers.
Select the “Co-Coach” or “Team Manager” option if interested. Coaches may submit team rosters by March 1. Remaining players are assigned based on competition level, school, and neighborhood.

League Options
Travel Teams (Ages 9-15)
  • Requires tryouts, with January 31 registration deadline.
  • High commitment, 35-45 games including weekends and 4-6 tournaments (April-July).
  • Additional Fee Required.

Red River Valley League (RRVL)
Both the intermediate (National) and advanced (American) leagues offer the same number of games and required practices. Teams compete only against others of the same skill level (depending on registration numbers), ensuring balanced competition. These divisions are designed to maintain parity and create a positive experience for all players.

Skill Level Recommendations

Skill Level Recommendations:

Our 5-6U program is one division. In the RRVL, we aim to offer two separate skill divisions for ages 7-15U based on registration numbers.

Below are some benchmarks to help make the best decision for your player or team.

7U, 8U, & 9U (Intermediate/National Division):
Skill Level:
 Beginner - Novice

    • Ideal for players just starting to learn the game or with a basic understanding of the game.
    • Focuses on developing foundational skills like throwing, catching, and hitting.
    • Little to no prior experience in organized play.

7U, 8U, & 9U (Advanced/American Division):
Skill Level:
 Intermediate – Advanced

  • Players have previously played in a league and are comfortable in game situations.
  • Suitable for players with a solid understanding of the game and basic skills.
  • Starting to develop more advanced skills and game awareness.

10U, 11U, & 12U (Intermediate/National Division):
Skill Level:
 Novice - Intermediate

  • Players have some understanding of the game but are still developing their skills.
  • Focuses on reinforcing rules, fundamentals, and skill-building.
  • Players have likely played several seasons and are becoming more comfortable in-game scenarios. If you are new to baseball, this is also a great opportunity to learn the game.

10U, 11U, & 12U (Advanced/American Division):
Skill Level:
 Advanced Intermediate – Advanced

  • Players demonstrate strong fundamental skills and have a good grasp of game strategy.
  • High proficiency in all aspects of the game.
  • Shows strong game awareness, consistency, and the ability to execute strategies effectively.

13U & 14/15U (Intermediate/National Division):
Skill Level:
 Intermediate – Advanced Intermediate

  • Players display strong fundamental skills and understand game strategy.
  • May have previous competitive league experience but still have room for refinement.
  • Players are comfortable in game situations and seek further improvement.

13U & 14/15U (Advanced/American Division):
Skill Level:
 Advanced - Elite

  • Players show mastery of fundamental skills and have a deep understanding of game strategy.
  • Demonstrates high-level performance, game awareness, and the ability to consistently execute strategies.
  • These players are often ranked middle to top of their age group in terms of skill and game understanding.

This structure helps provide an optimal experience by aligning players with the most suitable division based on their skill level, ensuring growth and enjoyment for everyone involved.
