Boden Meier Benefit Hitting Camp

Story
On May 10, Boden was in a golf cart accident. Early the next morning, he was found unresponsive but breathing and was rushed to a hospital in Omaha. Doctors discovered a brain bleed on the right side of his brain and performed emergency surgery to stop it. They also found a skull fracture and a second, serious bleed in a rare and delicate sinus region, which has since been stabilized.

An MRI on May 16 showed some brain damage, but two major areas remain intact — his brainstem and left hemisphere, which control vital functions, speech, language, and memory. Boden was sedated and on a ventilator until May 20, when doctors placed a trach and G-tube to help him breathe and receive nutrition more comfortably. Chris, Karin, Grace, and Landon have been by his side every step of the way.

Latest
In the coming days, Bo will move to an Acute Long-Term Care or Rehabilitation facility. The family is exploring all options, including air transport, to find the best place for his continued recovery. Facilities that accept ventilator patients are limited, but your donations are helping make this next step possible.

Boden is currently hospitalized out of state, and his family is facing ongoing travel and lodging expenses. All proceeds from the camp will go directly to the Meier family. If you’re unable to attend or would like to contribute an additional donation, please visit the Lend A Hand Up link below.
